Jara Delegation in North-East India
On the invitation of various organizations, Jara Foundation joined Nepal Academy for a tour to North Eastern states of India from April 10 to 17, 2016. The team led by the Prose department chief of Nepal Academy Mr. Matrika Pokharel and Jara Foundation Chairman Krishna Prasai, also had Jara’s two advisors LB Chhetri and Biwas Pokharel as its members. In Guwahati of Assam, the team was hosted by Deurali Samajik Sahityik Sankritik Manch, which organized a literary meet on April 12 in Guwahati. In Manipur, the Nepali Sanksriti Suraksya Parishad welcomed the visiting team. A grand cultural show was organized on April 13 at Kanglatongbi of Manipur, followed by a seminar cum literary meet on April 14. On April 15, the team partook of a literary event organized by Gorkha Jyoti Publication.
